Insanity, murder, and steamy sex are all trapped together in the roller coaster ride to find the answers in Blood Pond.

Ten years ago, August Greystone’s adolescent brother was brutally murdered and dumped in Blood Pond. And the one person he is sure can identify the killer is on the run...

Bruce Monkton can’t escape the horror of what he experienced the night his friend, Tommy Greystone, was slaughtered in front of his eyes. Although Bruce somehow survived the vicious attack, he is still fleeing from shadows, from the haunting memories and his own demons, so the last thing he wants is to come face-to-face with his greatest nightmare—the older brother of his dead boyhood crush, the man desperately seeking closure to his brother’s murder.

August has given up everything, including his career as a law enforcement officer, to locate Bruce because he’s sure the young man is the key to helping him find what he seeks. But can Bruce really aid August when it comes to locating the elusive killer, or will the answers to the mystery be buried forever at the bottom of Blood Pond?

This book has been previously published previously quite a few years ago. It has won many awards.

He walked into one last bar around closing time and showed the picture to the bartender, a handsome Italian with incredible eyes, not to mention biceps. “You know,” he said, “when you walked in that door, my heart flip-flopped. I thought I was going into cardiac arrest. Where you from, beautiful man?”

He put the picture back into his wallet. He couldn’t help him, at least not with Bruce Monkton. “What is it with guys up here? I’ve been called sweet, and pretty, and beautiful. Don’t you use handsome and good-looking anymore?”

“Naw, you’re way beyond handsome, sweetheart. My cock is going into overdrive. You’re not from here. You got an accent. American, right?”

 “Right.”

“Oh, sweetie, that’s what my cock is doing.” He leaned across the bar. “It’s standing up for the ‘Star-Spangled Banner’.”

For some reason, that struck August funny. He laughed. “That must be painful.”

“Oh, now I’m in love,” he said.

“You know what I think?” he said, deciding to flirt back a little. “I think you’re a real smooth talker, and that you probably fall in love every night.”

“Well,” he winked, “not every night. Are you in town long?”

“I don’t know yet. That depends.” He looked around.

“Be still my heart. Maybe I could convince you to stick around for the rest of my life.”

He smiled at the bartender. He really wished that it was that simple, that he could just wait around with this guy until closing and go somewhere where they could fuck each other’s brains out. And he could just forget for a little while. Forget. Forget that he didn’t get back for Tommy’s birthday that year. He remembered calling him that night.

I’ll be down soon, Tommy. We’ll do something, okay?

You owe me big time. I want a big gift. A car.

Dream on!

He did go home though, home to Tommy’s funeral, but he never did see his brother again, not even in the coffin because…because…

“Hey, gorgeous, where did you go? I lost you, man.”

He looked up at the bartender. “Sorry. What did you say?”

“I’m losing my touch. I said I get off in twenty minutes. Want to go somewhere, get something to eat?”

“Ah, sure,” he said with a nod. He might as well. He had no place to sleep anyway. And maybe for a few hours, he’d be distracted, and the pain would be forgotten.
