A vortex sends Jan’s shuttle into a time warp…

Falling in love with a merman from the future was not on Jan’s agenda.

Jan tried to escape from the depths of a very deep dark lake. She dreamed she was drowning, gasping for air as she struggled upward to the surface. When her head broke clear of the water, she gasped, inhaling deep gulps of air, her chest heaving as her lungs labored. Finally, she could breathe normally.

“Dorian, are you okay?” She turned and looked at the man beside her.

She screamed. There was nothing left of Dorian but a skeleton, its gaping mouth a last scream for help, a gasp for air. Then how come she had survived?

She forced herself to turn away from what was left of Dorian. Her gaze locked onto the blank screen as she frantically stabbed at the buttons. Nothing, just static. A furiously blinking light winked on and off on the control panel, indicating that the craft had landed.

But where?

“Computer, where are we?”

Again the computer gave no response.
