In this sequel to Relentless Passion, Zeca’s twin, Alex, has his own coming to terms with the realities of love, and how he has to become relentless in order to fall in love.

Alex has already lost one lover to his brother Zeca. Now his fickle shenanigans have driven Hugh, his other lover, away as well. Alex desperately wants what his brother has, an intensely passionate relationship, so Zeca shares their father’s advice—you have to love before you can be relentless. Good advice, if Alex weren’t so afraid to follow it.

When Toppy’s own love life gets a little, um…strange, he escapes to St. Tropez. He takes Alex with him, who finds himself face-to-face with Hugh. Too bad Hugh is already lip-to-lip with someone else. But Alex has come too far to turn back now.

The game is on, and while Toppy gets up to his own sexual shenanigans under the St. Tropez sun, Alex will do anything to get back into Hugh’s life…his bed…his body. He’ll first have to learn to face his fears. Only then can he find relentless love.

Damn. I couldn’t believe it. I hurried home, wondering what I would say if I called Hugh…or even if I should call. I started climbing the stairs to our house and stopped. No time like the present. I got Hugh’s voicemail. I left a message, letting him know we’d be there tomorrow.

Back home, the house was empty. I thought Toppy must have been next door at Angelina’s, or he wasn’t home yet. I threw some clothes and a couple of books into a small suitcase and packed my laptop in its computer bag. Then I lay on my bed, my mind racing. Hugh was more attached to his cell phone than I was. It was weird he hadn’t called back. I got out of bed, restless. I went downstairs then called a second and a third time, and even a fourth. I left two voicemail messages and a text.

Holy moly, he was ignoring me. What if he didn’t want to see me? Then I’d be stuck!

I could hear impassioned sounds coming from Angelina’s. I rolled my eyes. Dad was getting, er…lucky. Unbelievable. In spite of all the creepy things she’d been doing, he couldn’t help himself. He still had to get his love. I sure wished I could call my brother, but I knew he was probably busy getting lucky, too.

Two seconds later, my cell phone rang. It was Zeca.

“What’s wrong?” he asked. “I can feel you. Why didn’t you call me?”

 “Hugh isn’t returning my calls.”

 “Where are you?”

 “I’m home.”

A long pause. “Give him a chance, Alex. He’ll call you.”

“No, he won’t, and I’m gonna look like an ass showing up in St. Tropez tomorrow.”

Another pause. I could hear him talking to Antonio.

 “We’re on our way.”

I took a big breath and waited. I thanked whatever lucky stars I had that my brother had tuned into me and called. I found myself being more upset than I had been in a long time. For the first time in two weeks, I allowed myself to think back to the night Hugh, and I had fought, and he’d left the island.

We’d had a wonderful start to our evening. It had been my evening off. We spent the whole afternoon in bed. I swallowed over the lump forming in my throat. I’d taken for granted that he was staying with me. We got along so well. Our sex life was giddy, our kisses endless. I had never met a man who enjoyed kissing as much as I did.

He surprised me with dinner at Da Paolino, a wonderful, romantic restaurant in the middle of a lemon grove, and…and…

He asked me to marry him.
