The power of love…
Scarred by the past, determined never to love another man, Adam Fletcher's life is all about reality—bytes and technology. On the night of his thirtieth birthday he makes a wish, never believing that wishes can come true. When the man of his dreams walks into his life, Adam doesn't know whether to run from him, or to him. Tirian is just too gorgeous to be real…
Tirian is a unicorn-warrior, horn-broken, disgraced and made outcast, because he dared to defy his clan. His crime? To make music, not war. But in his quest to find a new life, he is shocked to discover that he will find true love far from home—his soul mate is human.
Will love heal their hurts, or will the past destroy their one chance at happiness? Love and Magic hold the key—if they are brave enough to reach out…
Tirian seized the surrender and nestled a leg between Adam's thighs, still covered by the sheet. He tugged Adam's t-shirt up to his chin. Beneath his hand the smooth heated skin was moist with arousal. Lowering his face to Adam's chest, he caught a dark, hard nipple in his mouth and sucked.
"Christ Almighty, Tir." Adam gasped. "Stop."
"No. You want me. And it terrifies you."
"I don't know you. I can't…"
"You know me." Tirian's gaze locked with Adam's. "And yes, you can do this. Look into your heart and soul, sweet man. Accept the moment. Accept me. Don't fight this, Adam."
"Is this some kind of battle?"
"I'm going to kiss you again. A lover's kiss. A prelude to me loving you. But, if it's not what you want, then tell me now and I'll leave." Tirian waited with heart hammering, a sick clenching tension in his gut as he watched the shadows chase over his mate's face, through his eyes. What would Adam decide? Choose the fear, or become the warrior and confront the moment?
"I…I think you should stay."
Tirian laughed. "I think so, too." He settled over Adam, again, pressing him into the bed. Tirian felt Adam's shy response as his mouth descended. His tongue tip slowly swept back and forth over Tirian's lips. Adam's arms lifted, encircling Tirian's waist, his fingers stroking the small of his back. "Yes, do that, Adam. I like that. It feels…wonderful." Tirian kissed harder, forcing Adam to open to him, to tongue-fuck him as before, but this time, there was no quarter, just need and desire, chasing away the shadows.
Tirian tugged at the sheet and Adam's body tensed, hands gripping the cover.
"Sweet man, I want to touch you, kiss you all over."
"You do?" Adam's voice was hoarse, uncertainty clashing with curiosity.
Tirian stared. What had his mate's former lover done with him—more to the point, what had he not done—that Adam found the idea of being kissed all over so remarkable? Tirian raised himself on an elbow to stare down at Adam. He flicked back strands of silver hair from his eyes.
Adam's gaze was dark, disbelieving. "Ah, I don't think you can kiss like that. I mean, you can't really want to…?"
"I can't?" Tirian smiled. "Challenge accepted. I'm going to love you senseless."
