Brett grinned and arched an eyebrow at her. “So are the possibilities with Sarah distracting you?” He shrugged. “I don’t think she’ll need my assistance, but I do plan on being nearby.”

Jen chuckled. She knew Brett loved watching her with another woman. For that matter, he loved watching her enjoy herself with another man, but especially with a woman. “I’m sure you do. So since Sarah can’t come by this weekend, do you want to go ahead and accept Donna and Ryan’s invitation to their house party Saturday? Donna was rather piqued that we weren’t going to be able to make it. She thought we should bring along our unicorn to share. They are hosting their first swing party.”

“Sarah’s not ready for a party. How many couples do they expect?”

“They invited ten, including us, but Vanessa and Carson had to cancel. Something about Vanessa’s volleyball team. They’re both very dedicated to helping kids. I do hope they’re able to have their own when they’re ready. Jerome and Deborah probably won’t be able to get away from the club. Linda and Tom will be there.”

“Great! We haven’t seen them for awhile. Though Linda does seem rather infatuated with Ryan.”

“It does his ego good. Neither Tom nor Donna seemed bothered, but I expect Linda will give you more than at least a sample. Alice and Carl will likely be there, though it’s not clear how active Carl can be yet. He’s still getting over his knee operation.”

“He’ll find something to do with the ladies. He always does. And there’ll be plenty of laughter. Alice will see to that.”

“There will be at least two couples we haven’t met. I know one of them is mixed racially—a Latina gal and an African American guy.”

“That should be interesting.”

“Right. Donna said she wanted a diverse group. And then there’s a couple from Bedford. Donna and Ryan have played with them a couple times. Donna likes them in part because the woman is larger than Donna was before she started losing weight once she started to swing.”

“Great,” Brett groaned. “So much for H-W-P.”

Jen shrugged. “I said the same thing. Donna told me one night wouldn’t kill me—and not to be so quick to judge a book by its cover. Sounds like the woman will give Alice a run for her money in the practical joke department. And Donna says she’s very good in bed. Could be fun. So do you want to go over Saturday night?”

“Why not? It is their first party. Maybe they’ll need some help.”
