Faye Keltie was born and raised in Fife, Scotland and lives near the water of the stunning Firth of Forth. Her job titles have included waitress, shelf stacker, shop assistant and belter. In Scotland, belter can also mean something exceptional or outstanding, but she refuses to comment on that. After a few years working as a secondary school history teacher, she took (very) early retirement for medical reasons. Although she dabbles in wonky craftwork and tries various levels of success to keep plants alive, writing has always been her primary hobby. After conversations with friends and workmates, she turned to writing erotica after realising many of them were looking for erotic fiction that was sexy but had a tender and lightly humorous touch. The exact phrase that resonated was, “I would like something that’s a bit like Downton Abbey but with shagging.” She set out to write that book. While The Age of Decadence is not the first book she has set out to write, it is the first she has ever managed to complete.
