Are you fascinated by all the sights, sounds and mystery of the Medieval Castle and Manor? Do you yearn to read about the brawny, sexy Saxon warriors and Norman knights who are powerful and brave enough to protect hearth and home…and heart? Do you cheer for their strong, loyal ladies who fall in love with them, sometimes in spite of themselves? Well the author, Deborah Dickey loves those places, times and those kinds of characters too. She loves telling stories about them!
Deborah lives in the quiet village of Brooklin in rural Ontario, Canada with her husband. Her career has been in social work for the past twenty years, with creative writing on the side. Now, with two grown children, writing has become her passion. A keen interest in literature, the arts and history—particularly the medieval period has made writing historical novels a pleasure for her. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, including courses taken in English literature and history which has made doing the research for this novel a special treat.
