e-book reader instructions


NOOK

The Nook reads EPUB and PDF Adobe Acrobat files.
Save your book/s on your computer in a folder.
Connect your Nook to your computer with the USB cord.
Your computer will recognize the device and ask what you want to do. Click Open Folder to View Files.
Open the folder called My Library.
Open the folder called My Documents.
Drag your book files from where you saved them to the My Documents folder.
Disconnect and you should have the book/s on your Nook now.

KINDLE

In your Amazon Kindle account, enter  @extasybooks.com  as allowed.

On your eXtasy account page, enter your Kindle email. You will find your Kindle email address at Amazon on your Kindle account pages. Once you have this set up, click on the Kindle icon next to the book and it will automatically arrive on your Kindle device.

Format: (Mobipocket) PRC extension

After purchasing a book select mobipocket format and download it to your computer using your USB cord.

Connect your Kindle to your computer with the USB cord.

Your computer will tell you that the device is attached and will ask what you want to do. Click OPEN FOLDER TO VIEW FILES.

Drag your book files from where you have saved them on your computer, to the Kindle folder. Close the folders and disconnect your Kindle.

KOBO

Kobo reads EPUB and PDF (Adobe Acrobat files)
Connect your Kobo to your computer with your USB cable.
On the Kobo screen, select Manage Library.
Your computer will recognize the Kobo and ask what you want to do. Click Open Folder to View Files.
Drag your books from where you saved them to the Kobo folder. Close folders and disconnect.

IPAD

The Kindle App for iPad can be found here. Download it on your device.
Download and install the Kindle for iPad application through iTunes.
Download the PRC/Mobipocket format to your computer and save it.
Connect your iPad to your computer using the USB cord.
Open iTunes. The iPad appears under Devices heading on the left pane. Click on it.
Click on the tab Apps.
Select the Kindle app under the Add File heading on the bottom screen.
Select Add and browse for the PRC file on your computer.
Click Sync.

PDF and ePub FILES FOR IPAD

Download the ePub or PDF format and save to your computer.
Connect the iPad to your computer using your USB cord.
Open iTunes on your computer.
Click on Devices on the left panel. Your iPad will be listed there.
Click on your iPad name on the left.
Click on Books tab.
Check the box next to Sync Books.
Choose radio button next to Selected books.
A list of your books will appear below. Check the boxes next to the books.
Click the apply button.
Disconnect. Your books should be in your books app on your iPad.

EPUB for iPad
You can manually add your eBooks to iTunes doing the following:

On your computer, open iTunes.
Select File from the menu bar at top of screen.
Select Add File to Library from the drop down menu.
Browse to find the ePub file on your computer.

iPhone

Download the Kindle for iPhone application at iTunes.
Choose the PRC (Mobipocket) format and save it on your computer.
Connect your iPhone or iPod to your computer with the cord.
Open iTunes on your iphone or ipod. When iPhone or iPod Touch appears under Devices on the left, click on it.
Click on the Apps tab.
Select the Kindle app under the Add File heading on the bottom half.
Select Add and browse for the PRC/Mobipocket file you saved on your computer.
Click Sync.
When your device has finished syncing, disconnect. You should now find your books in the Kindle app when you open it on your device.

HTML

HTML can be read in any browser.

MS READER

MS Reader, has unfortunately been discontinued and the download is no longer available at Adobe. However, we will continue to carry the format for those who have the MS Reader on their computer.

HIBOOK

HiBook was discontinued a long time ago, but we continue to carry it for people who still use this reader.

SONY READER

We offer Sony LRF, the preferred format for the Sony, and Sony PDF, the prettier version of the book, but not as easy to manipulate on the Sony.

ROCKET

Choose Rocket (RB) format.

ANDROID

Same instructions as iPhone except you need to download the Kindle for Android App and install it on your phone.

Uses PRC (Mobipocket)

Connect your Android to your computer with the USB cord. You need a file manager.
On your phone tap on USB connected.
Select Mount. Your SD card will appear as a removable drive on your computer.
Drag your book files from their folder where you saved them to the download file on the SD card. Close both and disconnect.
On your phone using the file manager program, move the files to Kindle app/directory.
Launch the Kindle app from your phone. The books should be in your library.

BLACKBERRY

Download and install the Mobipocket reader on your computer and your blackberry.
Download the PRC/Mobipocket format and save it on your computer.
Connect your Blackberry to your computer using the USB cord.
Open the desktop version of Mobipocket Reader.
At the top, hold down the send button, and select your Blackberry.
A message will show up telling you that the eBook has been sent to your Blackberry.
Disconnect.
Open the Mobipocket reader App on your Blackberry. The book should be there.

PALM

Download the Palm/pdb format.

The Palm Tungsten E2 uses eReader software for viewing eBook files. The software is available on the installation CD, which you can run to add eReader to your Palm.

The Palm Tungsten E2 sometimes cannot synchronize with files that are kept in a folder with a long directory path. To avoid this problem, save the eBook file to the desktop or a top-tier directory.
