Hope Morritt


Hope Morritt won a writing scholarship to the Banff Centre offered by the University of Alberta. She has had 3 novels, 2 history books and 1 poetry book published in England, U.S.A. and Canada. She received 1st prize in the Detroit Magazine’s fiction competition in 1984, Winners’ Circle fiction competition, (Canadian Authors’ Association), 1994, the John Spencer Hill Award for fiction, 2001. She did post-graduate work in Irish Literature at University College, Dublin, Eire, where she often read her work. She is a member of The Writers’ Union of Canada, and Women Writing the West, U.S.A.
