Blood Fever

To say Ryan Ervin has had a bad few months of luck would be an understatement. Once on the path to become a professional hockey goalie, all his dreams were shattered when he was injured. Unable to play anymore, he is forced to go back to the small town he grew up in and take a job at the local factory. But nothing prepared him for being attacked one night by a vampire. Just as he is taking his last breath, another vampire comes to his aid, a beautiful female who brings him back to life in more ways than one.

What an excellent prequel to Stephani Hecht's Drone Vampires Chronicles!! I love the whole new supernatural world SH has created for her characters
and how each of her tales include so much emotion that you are automatically drawn into the story right along with them. The subtle humour throughout
the book makes for an entertaining read which is perfectly balanced with the action and hot sex scenes that run along side it. It was also wonderful
to be able to get the back story on many of the characters previously met in BLOOD LUST (book 1) and learn how the clan came to be living in Detroit.
After reading Kane's story and receiving hints of Dante and Rafe's future tales, I'm waiting impatiently for more on the Toren Brothers and the Drone
vampires in their clan (i.e. Eric, Jonas and Brenden - please!)
