Born into a religious cult known as the Servants of the Light, Kerraine se Morrent is destined to spend her life locked into the strict obedience and purity demanded of women. Her husband has been chosen for her, and her marriage date set. But Kerraine wants to taste passion – and to win it, she’s willing to dance naked in the moonlight before one man. Treyor lan Courtan came to the uninhabited world of Eureni to hide inside a mountain citadel. But his secret is threatened when a group of cultists lands on Eureni to establish a colony. Treyor loathes their religious dogma, but finds himself fascinated by Kerraine, the daughter of the cult’s Arch-Prelate. When she disobeys all the rules by dancing naked before him, the only way he can save her from a terrible punishment is to buy her as his sex slave. Locked in Treyor’s mountain citadel, Kerraine learns the secrets of passion in her master’s embrace. But will his other secrets bring their world tumbling down around them? Read an Excerpt

Passion’s Citadel by Kassi Burns took a few pages to grab my interest and at first I wondered if I had made a mistake in buying this book. Happily,
my first instinct that Passion’s Citadel would be a great book was not wrong. Burns weaves a futuristic tale of greed, lust, sex and the ultimate
desire—love.rnrnPassion’s citadel is more than just erotic fiction; it is a doorway into the basic issues that have faced mankind since the
beginning of time and a glimpse into a future where one group has gone too far. It is a tale of cults, freedom and desire. In a time when sexual
desire is seen as evil, women as nothing more than slaves meant to bear children, and knowledge is limited to scripture only, it is easy to see our
own reality mirrored in Passion’s Citadel.rnrnKerraine se Morrent has no choice in her future; born female and into the Light, her life has been
arranged. She must cover herself at all times and resist any carnal desires. The life dictated to her is not a life she can survive. It is her desire,
her struggle with good and evil, duty and desire that sets the tone for Passion’s Citadel.rnrnNo great heroine is complete without an alluring hero
and Treyor lan Courtan is without a doubt the alpha male. He’s not only sexy, intelligent and feared; he has a kindness to him that is captivating
from the start. Treyor is every virgin’s dream lover—experienced, dominating, fulfilling every desire and not afraid to push a woman past her
mental limits. Like a typical romance he seems perfect, but Treyor and Kerraine both have their secrets that can either bring them together or tear
them apart.rnrnDespite the few editing mistakes I noticed throughout the book, Passion’s Citadel is a well written, highly intriguing piece of work,
with well defined characters, and a salacious storyline. I can’t wait to see what Burns delivers next.
